CHANELLE J. FIRTH

i began this research in 2024, as an active ipses recipient navigating & documenting administrative failures.
today, at 23, i am still enrolled & the file is still open.

i am an inuvialuit & gwich'in artist, activist, & researcher.

born in the northwest territories, i am currently based in treaty 6 territory
where i am completing my bachelor of arts in sociology & psychology.
my life's work is dedicated to a single, focused mission: to hold systems accountable.

i was raised in the heart of endemic systemic failures,
compounded across generations in child welfare, healthcare, & education.

this lived experience is not my weakness; it is my expertise,
gifting me with a forensic ability to identify where the vast,
bureaucratic machinery that governs our lives breaks down.

my practice is not personal: i do not target individuals; i indict systems.

i operate from a foundation of rigorous, evidence-backed analysis.
my research into GNWT policy failures established a pattern of neglect;
my current work on the federal IPSES program documents the mechanism.

this work is my act of service, my act of healing, & my act of reclamation:

reclaiming the narrative, reclaiming our power, & demanding a future for our communities
built on a foundation of justice.

i am always open to collaborations with

legal entities, academic institutions, journalists, & community organizations
who share a commitment to this difficult & necessary work.
